tough to call a 50 chip bet with 3s; easy to check the big blind with 4s to see what a flop brings - both moves seem pretty unidiotic to me

We've been a quartet for a while now. I don't think any of us have the killer spirit.

I'll spot Rebecca 100 chips if she wants to come kick our asses.*

*I say this only cos I'm pretty sure against the rules.

Well, I went all in again one hand back, given my general level of insanity I'll probably do it again soon. It's only a matter of time in any case. :D

I think the big hold up has been Yahweh and I passing chips back and forth without knocking either out. I think it's been 3 or 4 times now we've gone all in against each other, only for the loser of that hand to claw back in.

True. There have been some good aggressive bouts. Hands 80 & 81 I tried to take out shemp and fell flat on my poker face.

Nuts, first big pre-flop hand I've had in a while and I get smushed like a bug...

Good play, lofgeornost :BananaFinger:

Thanks. You had me a bit concerned that maybe you'd been slow-playing pocket aces or kings when you made the 100 bet, but with that full boat I wanted to go for broke.

My hand is a Ad 8h, so I'm going for a real gamble.

I flopped the flush - 6d 2d

I was concerned one or both of you would have the better diamond draw. I'd have been happy to just rake in those 132 chips :D

Yeah, I actually think both of you played that hand pretty well. Though Yahweh's call was definately more of a gamble, you've got to figure with 3 diamonds on the board and one in your hand, the odds of him having the flush don't seem too great. And even if he does, another diamond and you win anyway.

Interesting hand, at any rate. :)

Hehe, didn't notice that you guys just called. Not that it really matters, since I can't see someone folding on a pot this size for 20odd more. Unless it was on celebrity poker showdown. ;)

shemp just hit the devil number - once we get to three the stooge dominates.

I've watched poker shows where the hour starts with some no name in the very comfortable chip lead. A half-hour later he's shambling away from the table to weep into whatever stupid hat he decided to wear that day.
I could definitely be that guy.

Good game. I figured it was just a matter of time before you picked up a hand you would call with and I'd be toast. K high (or so I hear) is favored over a random hand, so I figured I'd push it. Was actually getting decent cards there when it was down to 2 (well, decent cards heads up, anyway)

Wish you'd gone all in the hand before, I had an AQ. :D

But hey, first tournament I've ever played in, I feel reasonably good about my performance. Only moderately inept. ;)

I'm pleased to see our forum-wide nightmare has finally come to an end...

I'm out of the forum poker business though... anyone who wants to start up the poker challenge III or whatever feel perfectly free to do so, although I'd suggest something more in line with the structure of the first one...

Heck, I might even play if someone is silly enough to run the thing...

What, 8 months of card dealing too long for you? :D

Definately a reason why real time gambling sites are a tad more popular than forum gambling. :)

Hmm, there's got to be some way I can take partial credit for this win...

Or not. :)

Congratulations, lofgeornost!

Woohoo!

Thanks, Aoidoi. Great game. I was dealt a 2 paired with some other unroyal trash for five straight hands there, and was starting to get worried.

Thanks to RCC for starting this madness, and Adam for stepping up.

And shemp, I'm still feeling the fuzzy camaraderie from when we both got knocked out on the same hand in the first tourney.

Beleth gets half my winnings.
