All of Brady's offensive weapons are injured and Gronk can't bring-in a ball thrown literally into his lap. It's clear Max Kellerman is finally right.

Well, how to put this succinctly?

There are different types of fans. Some like to wallow in negativity. You have to go back to Before 2001. Other than the Celtics, and rumors of the Bruins, Boston teams were a joke. We all know about the Red Sox, but the Pats were pretty much the worst team in the NFL for decades.

So just as some wallow in "those guys can't win" for the Red Sox, there were those who wallowed in it for the Pats. These types also love to ruin things for everyone else. This is the Irish/Jewish/Italian/Polish[Get on with it! – Ed.] Grandmother who tells members of their families their dreams will all fail. This bring us to:

Belichick Sucks: Because we cannot have nice things – thanks sparks – he was seen as just another failure coach, of which, the Patriots had legion. This is the team that passed on Chuck Knoll to pick a guy who, six months later, ended up in an insane asylum. Literally. Those naturally opposed to him did not want to believe in him. Wedded to this, they persist, much like Kellerman persisted.

These are the same idiots who bring up "he FAILED in CLEVELAND!!11!!"

I still hear that.

Actually, he was probably the most successful coach of the franchise.

So when they started to win, fortunately there was this Tom Brady to whom they could give all the credit.

Brady Sucks: these types have a lot of the "Grandmas," but more of them just are jealous of not only an athlete's success, but also of his wealth and life. Some of these, like the former, had Previous Greatest QBs Evah! Understandable. None of the candidates played for the Pats!

A long time ago, I crushed an idiot who tried to claim that Johnny Unitas was better. Really. A poster here – Credit Where Credit is Due Department – noted that Capt. Fatfuck – as Urinating Tree refers to Big Ben Rapesherburgerlerer – had better stats than Unitas, and no one would consider him better than Brady.

This was after three Super Bowls.

He did not have "the pedigree." He was not, as I joked at the time, the Quarter Back . . . of DESTINY like St. Peyton of Goat Face?

Remember those arguments?

Were they not fun?

Just this weekend, someone tried to argue with me for about a minute that Brady is not the greatest QB. I did not even have to try. He sort of knew. I soothed him that, in the day, I felt like most it was Joe Montana. Now Brady has not only destroyed his SB record, he destroyed his post-season, and season records!

"HE NEVER THRU A PICKIEE!!!!!"

Because he only got to four.

There is that AND!!!!!

He Left Us!: Much of the "Brady Sucks" wallow in this, and have picked up Patriot Fanboys and Belichick lovers. Jilted lovers they are. Last year was hard on them. I joke about being one. Which brings us to:

Genius!: People who like to think they understand football – "you know, I played in high school!" – like to talk coaches. I do not mean fans who do understand football, I mean the "fanboys." The say Brady "just dinked 'n dunked!" Or my favorite: "he's just a System Quarter Back!" As too many Sports Dudes have retorted, "why don't the other teams just use that System?"

They claim Brady would be nothing without Belichick just to support the need that Some Guy Who Can't Actually Play is the Most Important. This also allows Montana, or "Slingin'" Sammy Baugh [Even we are not going to bother to look up his name. – Ed.] or Otto Grange to remain "the Bestest EVAH!"

Right.

The boring reality: it is and always was both.

I note that if Brady did NOT get drafted by the Pats he would have gone . . . undrafted! He would be, at best, a back-up. All Glory to the Hypno-Toad His Merciful Dark Hoodie, he listened to advice, picked him, and stuck with him. Even he had joked that if he knew Brady would become Brady, he might have picked him sooner than the sixth round!

Put Brady on, say, the Colts under Pegano? If he plays, he becomes injured. Game over.

Add in that you can be the Bestest QB in Da World, but if no one can block for you, catch the ball, or your coach is, well, Chuck Pegano, you lose. See Pats 2006.

Meanwhile, if you do not have the players, it does not matter how much of a genius you are, you lose. Take the last game. Did Belichick – "Need to coach better, need to play better, all phases of the game, Anáil nathrach" – did he plan to have a player botch the punt? Jones throw the pick in the end zone?

And I could bore even myself citing examples where "Coach Won Da Game!" and "Brady Won Da Game" and, in those games, you can point where the other did it. Take the infamous Seamen Super Bowl.

I need . . .

. . . a . . . moment. . . .

You could say that the Seamen lost it by lacking the discipline to preserve their time-outs. Then they would not have felt the need to pass, because Belichick decided not to take a timeout. Was Belichick "brilliant" to let Carroll 'n Co. panic? Frankly, I think it was, "why help them. Maybe they will do something stupid." Obviously, they planned for that play.

Meanwhile, it was Brady who got the Pats back in the lead. He recognized a good play. "JULES" failed to catch a pass for a touch down, but both recognized he could fake-out the defensive player. So they tried it again the next series.

Same with failure.

I will spare everyone those discussions. The bottom line is without Brady, Belichick probably does not win with Drew. Perhaps if Drew listened to him, they could have won with the 2003/04 teams. That is being very charitable. I liked Drew, but he could be stubborn. This is why if Belichick had Aaron Rogers they probably only win one before Belichick cuts him.

Without Belichick, Brady has to be beyond improbable lucky to get on a team, a team that gives him a chance, a team that also has major pieces – like the 2001 – 04 Pats had – to win. Maybe he wins one or two. "WHAT ABOUT LAST YEAR?"

Tampa Bay was a wagon. They just needed a QB to throw half as many picks as Winston did.

And that is it.

Fans do not care about it. They want an "answer!"

Actually, they want their religions validated, which are not by the actual answer.

In the rain.

Star High School Quarterback Blissfully Unaware He’ll Be Jets Starter 4 Years From Now

BEND, OR—As he excitedly slapped a teammate on the back after delivering a pinpoint 30-yard throw in practice, sources confirmed Wednesday that local star quarterback Cole Rabuck was blissfully unaware he would be the New York Jets’ starter four years from now. “He goes out there every day, he’s got a great arm, and he just loves the game so much,” coach Ron Sever said of the 17-year-old who will be drafted fourth overall to a 3-13 Jets team and whose fans will immediately revile him and blame him for every failure. “He’s got a great head on his shoulders and a bright future [of being drafted by the Jets and repeatedly humiliated on a national stage] ahead of him. He’s a generational talent, honestly, and if he keeps it up, he could be the next Aaron Rodgers, [Mark Sanchez, Sam Darnold,] or Peyton Manning.” At press time, Rabuck, who will reportedly express relief when he is out of the NFL by the age of 27, was telling teammates he wants to play football for the rest of his life.
