It’s never convenient for Bostonians. We usually have to trek out to western Massachusetts.
Have fun. I’m envious.

Snagged the Mauser. probably made late 30's. Almost perfect, someone ran a mag or two thru it but otherwise pretty damn close to mint.
You bump into these things, great condition I mean. I suspect that somebody bought it (it is marked "GERMANY" which means export to the USA) on a whim, tossed it into a sock drawer and then, after some decades, died. His kids put it in their sock drawer etc etc.

The other night I dreamed about a local grocery where they had pistols amongst the six-packs in the beer cooler. There was a 25mm Smith & Wesson automatic and some revolvers but I was shopping for milk.

Re: Sarasota gun show today
It is 7.65mm Browning or .32 ACP in 'merican.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.32_ACP.32 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol, also known as the .32 Automatic) is a centerfire pistol cartridge. It is a semi-rimmed, straight-walled cartridge developed by firearms designer John Browning, initially for use in the FN M1900 semi-automatic pistol. It was introduced in 1899 by Fabrique Nationale, and is also known as the 7.65×17mmSR Browning or 7.65 mm Browning Short.[5]
By today's standards it is a puny, girlie round. Back in the day, though, it was a standard sidearm caliber for most of Europe. These guns were used by cops and were military issue.
According to my Akah catalog (big german catalog store) it cost 42 RM in 1935 which translates to ~17USD at that time. With inflation that would be 343USDtoday.
Big "but". To actually produce that thing the way they did then would be 100 man hours. More? I suspect that little thing would cost over $1000 is made the way they made it. However with CNC machining that $343 retail number is probably not too far off. Bit low, but not to a crazy extent.

25 mm ? Unless you were going to mount it on a vehicle, you made the right call.
But if you had a gunport . . . .
