Talk to me. I don't think that you get 4k when you stream unless you have crazy high connection speeds.

Cannot speak for the US. In the UK, to stream 4K you need a 4k TV, a 4k device such as a firestick (amongst others) and around 20-25mbps min connection speed. Most providers here now piss on this.

Older 4k tvs dont have the HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding)/H.265 compression standard so you need to check.

Some streaming services charge for 4k content, Netflix does here.
