Bug in the heating system
My house is old and was apparently built by inebriates. Among the curiosities it contains is a section of vertical heating duct that has rattling sounds. I'm not sure if it's the pitter-patter of rodents or if it's expansion/contraction. Rattling when air is blowing and rattling when no air is blowing. I don't get it. I have traps set out, so far no rodents.

My step daughter was angry when I called her 2 new cats her "crazy cat lady starter kit."
I didn't think she would mind the joke . . . I felt very bad.
