Terrible news about Damar Hamlin. :(

Another reminder just how dangerous this game can be.

He collapsed on the field, was given CPR and taken to the hospital by ambulance. No word on his condition.

The game was suspended.

Apparent his heart is beating again, at least.

"Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals," the Bills announced via a statement. "His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition."

Just 24 years old.

ETA: His "vitals are back to normal" but he is sedated and on a breathing tube.

I was watching it live, and I thought it excellent that there were multiple replays of the incident for minutes after from multiple different angles whilst Hamlin was obviously in distress.

Similar thing happened to Christian Eriksen, a Danish soccer player at Euro 2020. Not one replay.

Currently, the game is suspended with questions on whether or not it will be played all the way to just giving the teams a tie.

Personally I think the result as the game was suspended should be taken and points distributed accordingly.

I think that's the only fair way.

US National Football League star Damar Hamlin woke up after collapsing during a game and asked doctors treating him in hospital if his team won the game.

The Buffalo Bills star suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during Monday night's game in Ohio, causing an outpouring of grief from football fans.

Doctors and his team say he has shown "remarkable improvement" in the past 24 hours and is "neurologically intact".

Hamlin has been in the intensive care unit since he was taken off the field.
