Things where you are less a purist

Post by ed »

I used to think that the only way to listen to audio was n-channels ... rear speakers, front etc etc. Got a Marantz thingie with Lister's help.

Related: I went from VHS to Laser disks to DVD to Blue ray because ... quality

Now I stream every thing and pirate what I can't stream. Use a sound bar under my TV. Have many disk like objects to use as boat anchors.

Just as happy.

Coffee ... used to but beans, keep them frozen, grind to order.

Now: Buy the crap espresso that my spanish brothers use, mix it with some sort of dark roast. Don't give a shit.

Tell me how you have come down in the world.

I was never a purist, even when I had some money, all gone, oh well.

Many years ago, I would seek out Yuban coffee, now I enjoy Folgers Columbian flavor but
mostly whatever I can find on sale.

I'm happy, sometimes.

I used to take the brand name Phucitol but I've found that the generic LOL WUT with herbal "Meh" tea is just as effective.

When I was younger, I cared about having a nice house.

Since my divorce, I live more basic than my renters.

I am completely fine with it.

What's Shemp's deal?

Is he homeless or something?

I'm not quite that basic.

The question is, are you satisfied with the sound of your TV and the taste of your coffee.

Yes I am. Thanks for asking. 7.1 sound in the main room. Sound bars on each outdoor TV. Sometimes I grind my coffee sometimes I drink it straight.
