Prices of things
Went to a fairly large gun show today (Lakeland Fla). I was really shocked at the cost of the more collectable firearms. Seriously. These are collectables with the added value of serving a defensive function. Thing is that fairly common lugers were costing around 3k.

Re: Prices of things
As mentioned in another thread, I recently saw eggs for sale here at ¥198/dz. (roughly $1.52/dz).
Yahoo News says eggs are averaging above $7.00/dz. in California, which means it's probably closer to $9.00.*
* And don't give me that "Because Bird Flu" bullshit, Democrats. They just culled something like 10 million birds here in Japan, too.
