Yeah it's all the rage lately. Even a big deal at work.
Didn't know about the political bias though.
I haven't paid much attention. Seems like a fad to me.

Re: You lot know about this?
That said, I fully expect a deluge of "ChatGPT"-generated content generally indistinguishable from human-generated content. I won't be surprised when or if we are, in effect, governed by it, because "those who can't" will use it to write laws. And if the news is "fake" now, it'll be really fake shortly. Including but not limited to text, images and video. Fake talking heads, even.
Artists are using it to "generate ideas". Students are using it to cheat by having it write essays. One guy has used AI to generate text and images for a children's book which he is selling on Amazon, and he's so proud of "his creation," and that is a critical issue in all this: humans who use it fool themselves into believing that the results are their own work, that they did it themselves, whereas to me it's equivalent to putting a quarter in a gumball machine over and over again and thinking that I have done it myself every time a gumball drops down the slot.
Won't be long until AI is making medical decisions and it won't be long before it's making military decisions.
In my non-AI opinion, which is worth about $0.02 USD.

When an AI can make money, that's when the game changes.
Just kidding. That ship sailed years ago.
